The live floor signal First-pilot scope

One operating trail. Every moment intact.

Motivo's first product is deliberately narrow: the four sales-floor moments that happen before the CRM tells the story. Arrive, assign, respond, watch. Each with an owner and a clock. Below, the whole loop is running on fictional data you can drive yourself.

This is the desk. Run it.

Log a walk-in and watch it route. Send a T.O. from the floor and accept it from the desk. Start a drive and let the timer run long. Every action lands in the activity trail with a time on it. Nothing here is a screenshot.

Salespeople see their own position. Managers see the whole rotation. Nobody sees another person's gross.

The clock starts the moment it is sent. Response time goes on the record.

Showroom display mode. No gross, no admin controls, no arguments about who is up.

02 Module ledger

Problem. Owner. What becomes visible.

Each module answers one operating question. Each is labeled honestly: this is the first-pilot concept, not shipped software, and the status column says so.

01 · Arrive

Front desk arrival log

The customer arrives before anyone is assigned. Three fields at the door start the trail and route to the next up.

The whiteboard has no history. UpFlow keeps position, status, and every manager override, with a name on it and a tablet mode for the wall.

T.O. requests

A request in a group text has a recipient but no owner. Here it has both, plus a clock the whole desk can see.

03 Floor politics, built in

Permissions that respect the store.

Software that ignores how a dealership actually works gets ignored by the dealership. These rules are part of the design, not a settings page.

Rules
  • Salespeople never see another person's gross.
  • Desk managers see front gross. Only the GM sees back gross.
  • Every up-list override is logged. No stealth reordering.
  • The tablet board shows rotation and status only. Never money.
  • Every role acts from the same event trail with its own interface.
Roles
  • General manager: full access, all reports, audit log.
  • Sales / desk manager: DeskView, overrides, T.O. queue, front gross.
  • Salesperson: own status and position, T.O. request, own drives.
  • Front desk: arrival logging only.
  • Motivo admin: setup and support, demo mode, billing.

04 Scope with discipline

Validate the loop. Earn the expansion.

Everything on the right is a roadmap, not a product. It gets built when a real floor shows it should, and not before.

First-pilot core
  • DeskView command view with live counts and alerts
  • Front desk arrival log with automatic routing
  • UpFlow rotation with logged overrides and tablet mode
  • T.O. request flow with response time on the record
  • Test-drive timer with overdue alerts
  • Pinned manager messages and the T.O. thread
After validation · roadmap, not current product
  • Push notifications and deal pipeline stages
  • Deeper reporting on response times and coverage
  • Multi-store operating views for groups
  • GPS test-drive routes
  • BDC, service lane, and F&I workflows
  • CRM and DMS integrations

The interface above is an interactive proof of the operating loop. The next step is a dealership willing to put it in front of a real desk for thirty days.
